What is the pipping in hearing aid?

I'd definitely go back to Specsavers today and ask for advice. Even if you can't see the audiologist, there must be someone in the shop who will have experience of this- and if they can't help- insist you see the audiologist on Monday. Good luck.

Thanks, folks. It's def not the battery, I changed it just in case. Not the smoke alarm, not that loud. Shysal, will have a look for the instructions. It has stopped doing it now but I like to know what these things are. I had been fiddling about with the volume, but hours before.

Mine does that when the battery needs changing. But I don't always hear it!

I know this will sound dumb, but could it be your house smoke alarm needing a new battery? They make a pipping sound which would be picked up on your hearing aid.

Is it the battery?

Sitting minding my own business and hearing aid suddenly does a pippety-pip-pip quite loud - at random infrequent intervals. Does anyone know what itis?

Quite difficult to get to speak to the audiologist at Specsavers. The hearing aids are NHS ones I got through Specsavers and are excellent. I have a feeling I was told about this once but can't remember what was said.
