The service I received for a UTI a couple of weeks ago was brilliant! xx

Likewise.
When DH seemed to be experiencing a rerun of stroke symptoms, but less severely, they had a paramedic round in minutes and he took it from there.
I suppose others will not necessarily have had the same experience, but it is always good to hear the positive side.

I am happy to say I got excellent help when I phoned 111 to ask for advice as my 74 year old sister was violently sick and had diarrhoea from 2.00 am to 5.00 am this past night.

They organised for her to see my GP after getting a special permit as my sister lives in Italy and is on hols with me. She fortunately has an IHIC card to cover the cost, but we were prepared to pay £50 if not.

They said if my Doctors couldn't see her they gave me an alternative walk surgery at a local hospital.

They gave me a list of things to look out for in case things worsened and said to phone 999 if these symptoms appeared.

They spoke to my sister and reassured her.

This is an example of good practice.

I have got an appointment for today and half an hour ago my sister, known for her love of food, asked for a round of toast. smile
