I've done the same recently - left the tablet and mobile downstairs re-charging overnight. Gone back to reading a proper book in bed and I'm sure it helps me go to sleep. It's so easy to get caught up in the Internet and social media, especially for those of us who live alone. I even used to check it if I woke up in the night, not any more.

I often have trouble getting off to sleep and/or wake up in the early hours and then fall (eventually) into a deep sleep, waking up feeling thoroughly rough not to say grumpy.
Not last night.
What did I do different?
Not a lot, but , having read about the effect on the brain of using iPads etc I abandoned my usual Cookie Jam/check FB/check GN/ooh do I have any emails?/ BBC Iplayer/or browsing Amazon for a Kindle book to download and read a magazine (the paper sort) instead before turning out the light.
I slept through until 20 past 7 and woke feeling refreshed.
Is that all it needed?
