Another wash after No 2!!! I have IBS and if I were to do that I would spend a large part of my life washing - it's quite enough to spend a large part of my life c****ing!!

Daily shower, use shower gel everywhere!! Never heard that you should only wash certain bits before lol

Daily shower with scrunchy thing and shower cream - slight spray of Femfresh and always use pant liners. I've never washed inside - always told it wasn't necessary as it's self cleaning.

Sitting on your ar sit-upon for too long in the day encourages whiffs.

My DGSs never pull back their foreskin and wash under it - I watch them being bathed. And all is well.

Regalo - oh no, not Femfresh, the dreaded fanny flit! Water will do and it is cheaper.

The foreskins on small boys are often too tight to retract, in fact they are stuck down. That's when they are best left alone. Small boys will soon discover how to retract them in the bath when their foreskins permit!

The OP has referred to the vagina when I think she means vulva - I stand to be corrected.

There is certainly no need to be washing the vagina, as in the internal canal, although I know in certain countries women go in for douches, but I would say that the inner labia needs to be cleansed with soap & water/water only.

I can't believe that women wouldn't wash there.

As for not retracting foreskin to be washed - I'm speechless!

Clean underwear daily and a good wash with water and soap/shower gel (if you aren't allergic) daily certainly means there won't be any 'pong' for goodness sake , we aren't saying we don't wash 'downstairs' just not scrubbing at inner parts that are delicate and should be left alone.

Its people who either have incontinence problems or don't wash and put on clean underwear daily who might be 'pongy'.

I don't think there's any 'pong' likely to be coming from inside your vagina, unless you've got an infection!

Obviously all the outside bits should be kept clean...

I had to go to the Dr's this morning and remembered just in time to change my knickers.
Actually that's another point - sometimes people pong because they're wearing soiled underwear.

Soap stings, some shower gels are OK, and Femfresh shower stuff is good, it doesn't sting and deodorises.

Or a good soak in the bath.

Wash it. With soap. Or you will pong. Especially as we get older.

I suppose in a way it is akin to pulling back the foreskin in boys. They say not to do it I think.

I only grovelled about in detailed cleaning of my DDs when they had managed to get poo in seemingly unreachable places. When they were out of nappies I did not go for inner labia - they just soaked in the bath.

As for me - water only.

I cannot cope with anything in the way of bath salts or scented soap in the nether regions without excruciating stinging. Not that I can still get in the bath!

As a bather rather than a showerer, the problem resolves itself without any action by me.
