embarrassing bumps

I'm afraid this is an intimate area post again. For about 25 years I have had sebaceous cyst like bumps on my labia majora. Dr first diagnosed when only 4 or 5. They are now many. Now and then one will flare up and disappear. The thing is I have a yearly cystoscopy. One due tomorrow. Every time I go I am so ashamed and embarrassed by them. Anyone else have these. Apparently there is nothing to 'cure' them. My sister has a few but pops them in the bath. Mine would be like popping bubble wrap there are so many.

I think they are pretty common, I had quite few some years ago but not many now. To be honest I have never given the matter much thought. I decided that if I had to have any examinations in the genital area and they were a cause for concern the clinician would mention it.

When you consider the many and various unpleasant lumps/bumps etc that people have on their bodies (think the television programme 'Embarrassing Bodies' there is nothing in your cysts to be ashamed or embarrassed about.

Glad everything went well. It is surprising how many things we think are peculiar and particular to us because nobody ever mentions them and later discover everyone has.
