Yes I can still babysit as DGD is now 3, she knows Ive got a 'sore stomach' and will pick small items up for me, she has looked at my stomach and used her toy doctors bag to check me out and says Im poorly. lol. She is standing still to get her hair combed etc. I couldn't cope with a younger baby though.

Trips to the park will have to temporarily stopped as I cant catch her if she falls while on the swings etc.

Sorry to hear that ethel` I've pulled a muscle in my back and that's bad enough. Some years ago I pulled a Ham String in my leg - it was agony.

Resting and pain killers were the only treatment offered.

Are you managing to baby sit? It always worries me that I can't babysit when I'm not 100%

Keep posting.

I don't think an osteopath is a good idea for muscle strain. Rest painkillers and patience are what is called for.
Box sets or a good book I am afraid!

Help advice needed please and where do I get the best advice-from my friends at gransnet.
Last week I stumbled and twisted by body while at work I had to visit the gp by the Monday I had unbearable pain around my diaphragm area and round to my spine, he diagnosed intercostal strain or maybe even a tear. I was just prescribed painkillers which only take the edge off the pain.
I need to get back to work, resting doesn't help as Im bored stiff.
Have looked online for ideas but they just say rest or see an osteopath which I cannot afford.
Any ideas gratefully recieved
