Oh Nelliemoser poor little chap !!
my 4 year old grandson wasn't anywhere near as bad thank goodness and to be honest apart from being more easily worn out didn't seem unwell at all.

We're hoping the 2 year old goes the same route .

This was my three yr old in early Feb it was all over his little face as well and he was totally miserable but I don't want him recognised.

A few days later he was still spotty but bouncing around.

Thanks ladies!

The oldest one has no scabs now and of course the little one is only just getting spotty so there's plenty of time .

You're right Ana
I thought the scabs had dropped off and all was healed up nicely; I wouldn't use Bio Oil on the little one until the skin is completely healed.

I'd advise delaying the application of anything such as Bio Oil until the wounds have fully healed. Can't see any harm in trying it later.

I should think that Bio Oil is fine to use, and I have used Flexitol as well.
The scars should fade as he gets older (and will look smaller as he gets bigger anyway!)

Yes good point minimo

Personally, I can't see that it would be an issue. There's nothing harmful in bio oil is there? No more so than paracetamol etc or antibiotics which my 2 yr old DGD has been on three times now. Could always ask your local chemist if you're worried?

Recently my 4 yr old grandson got chicken pox and I got some great advice here which has meant he didn't scratch too many of his spots .BUT he did scratch one on his leg, one in the small of his back which have left large marks as they are still healing.

I was wondering whether anyone has used Bio Oil on a child?

Its supposed to reduce the appearance of scars and I cant see any advice not to use it on children, its also not on his face.

His little brother has caught it today and is rapidly filling up with spots so would be good to know so we can use it on him too if necessary.

Any thoughts?
