Wasn't sure whether to put this under health or technology, but here you go!

Yes!!!

Must tell DH that. He thinks I spend too much time on here. Makes sense really.

jings you are only on here because you are aware that looking after your own health will benefit the whole family, think of it as preventative medicine wink

Heaven only knows that you would probably be rather doing housework etc, but you are making this sacrifice for their sakes.

jinglbellsfrocks Fri 04-Mar-16 17:51:38

Absolutely right. grin

Yeay ! a license to play ?

Brilliant !! I do sometimes struggle with the correct word when speaking, but somewhere like here it doesn't matter - I have time to use the thesaurus wink.
Instead of finding a reference in a book I just google questions now, and learn so much more because that takes me off on a tangent to learn other things.
I haven't tried internet games yet (soduku, crosswords) but I know they're there at a click.

Go for it grin!

My trouble is that my arms start twinging if I am knitting or if I am on the computer keyboard. Is there an alternative?

tanith Fri 04-Mar-16 19:06:50

Nellie why not use an ipad its not so hard on the arms .

Greyduster Fri 04-Mar-16 19:10:47

Oh Lord! I do hope so, considering how much time I spend on mine!

hildajenniJ Fri 04-Mar-16 19:20:34

These days this is all my DH thinks I do! ? He doesn't see all the other stuff, cooking, cleaning, washing, ironing etc. I can see the value in computing.grin

Yes! This is so true, it keeps our brains active, though if you spend as much time on here as I do, then it doesn't do much for our bums! grin

Jane10 Sun 20-Mar-16 18:42:08

And the political threads give the old blood pressure a bit of a workout!

Indinana Sun 20-Mar-16 18:49:59

Or our tums shock

So silver surfers in their 70's in their 70s are 42 per cent less likely to develop the mental problems which precede dementia. And knitting reduces the risk of memory problems by 16 per cent. I do both.... does that mean my risk is reduced by 58%? grin.

Indinana Sun 20-Mar-16 18:50:17

Apparently it doesn't prevent us stuttering....
