Gaggi3 Good news! I,m into the 2nd week after my surgery and still can't believe how much clearer my sight is in that eye. I hope to be having the other one done soon. As you said, a much easier procedure than it sounds and nowhere near as uncomfortable afterward as I thought it would be. I saw the surgeon for a follow-up the other day and he was pleased with its progress. Hope yours continues to go well.sunshine

Glad to hear it was such a positive experience. So often you only hear when things have not gone very well.

Sorry I missed your original post or would have said I had lens exchange procedure over a year ago. Basically it's cataract op done privately for improved vision when no cataracts are present.
It is the best thing I've ever done. After more than 50 years of wearing specs I can see very well without!
I have found night driving more testing but I don't regret it for a moment.
I'm pleased your procedure went well. Take it easy and be kind to yourself flowers

I would just like thank everyone for their positive advice and encouragement when I was so nervous about my cataract operation. I had the procedure yesterday and it was fine. It is a slightly weird experience but nowhere near as awful as I had allowed myself to imagine. Met some interesting people whilst waiting, and the staff couldn't have been kinder or more caring. Today I am already seeing things more clearly. Thanks GN.
