I'm not up for the onion boiled in milk but any other reasonable suggestions are welcome! Currently on my second bout in a matter of weeks and the cough is driving me nuts! 
Not available, nor likely to be, but as I am currently mid cold, (streaming nose,hacking cough, lovely!) I was wondering, anyone know of any old fashioned remedies were supposed to work? (I'll pass on the goose grease on the chest though, if it's all the same to you 
). Something in the back of my mind tells me there was something about an onion boiled in milk?
