I'm just starting on a LCSF way of eating (Low Carbs, Sensible Fat).
I'm not going to follow Michael Mosley slavishly but I do want to cut out sugary stuff, cakes, and bread as far as possible - with the exception of real wholegrain wholemeal bread occasionally. We met friends out today and went for lunch to a Wholefood cafe so I was able to choose some delicious veggie salads, including pulses, and had some red fruits afterwards.
However, we then went to visit Ham House and had the obligatory cuppa in the NT caff....and I weakened and had a scone. Now I am feeling distinctly unwell with a rather sore stomach and I'm not sure why - and guilty that I fell at the first hurdle and scoffed a scone before I'd given myself a chance to get into a different way of eating.
Oh well, tomorrow is another day..... exit stage left, spiralising a slug
