My clothes don't shrink in the wash - just in the wardrobe hmm

You mean I shouldn't have been wearing high heels when I did this???

Margsus Wed 13-Apr-16 20:24:08

Well I'm only 4'10" to begin with, so I can't afford to lose any height at all or I'll disappear completely!

BB That's probably me blush

I haven't shrunk yet. Still keep getting asked to get things off the top shelves, for little old ladies, in Sainsburys grin

When I did mine I tried both 5' 4" and 5' 2" and then took my weight as between the two... As with my height now I'd have needed to lose more than I thought was necessary. I usually go with "if my clothes still fit" then I'm not putting on any weight, and that's fine. Funnily enough the last time the practice nurse measured me she said I was 5' 4 and 1/2" which is impossible and I've never been that tall so her measuring skills did worry me! I keep a mark on a wall to see if I'm losing any more height now!

Sorry nonnie that is not possible.

Current height simply because my scoliosis seems to have been straightened out a bit by Pilates and I am taller than ever!

I am not at all interested in my BMI. It is probably stratospheric (is that a real word?) more in the fact that my trousers which are more than a year old are trailing on the floor. I-Pad insisted on me having a BMW.

Indinana Wed 13-Apr-16 11:10:34

That's interesting. I'd always assumed that I should use my current height. My BMI isn't as high as I'd thought smile. Thanks Galen (and jings of course for raising the issue!)

Juggernaut Wed 13-Apr-16 11:04:08

Okay Jings, I'll be serious! It should be your height before shrinkage.....sorry!

jinglbellsfrocks Wed 13-Apr-16 10:59:45

Oh that's great Galen! sunshine cupcake

jinglbellsfrocks Wed 13-Apr-16 10:58:54

Dunno where the p came from.

Galen Wed 13-Apr-16 10:58:44

Should be the original ( not birth) height

jinglbellsfrocks Wed 13-Apr-16 10:58:24

Sigh! This is serious! hmm winkp

Juggernaut Wed 13-Apr-16 10:39:26

I always enter my height as 7ft 6in, then my BMI is normal wink

jinglbellsfrocks Wed 13-Apr-16 10:36:04

...and you are trying to ascertain your BMI from an online chart, do you enter your current height, or the height you used to be?

My DD tells me I should enter my current height, but when you think about it, it is only your spine that has gone down. All the rest of you is still there. Just gone out sideways.
