I am sorry to hear that you need this. I have never had this treatment but have been treated in a colposcopy unit and they are very caring. If you have not already seen it, this video might help prepare you.

Good luck ruby, soon be over . It isn't like a hot poker, it is a very fine loop of hot wire, and you will have a local anaesthetic.
By the way, I saw Judge Rinder was taking part in the London Marathon yesterday, and is a strong runner.

All done and dusted, for today. Thank you all for your kind words, it wasn't anywhere near as bad as I thought it was going to be. I did have slight flutters heart wise when the anaesthetic went in and I jumped at the hot wire but apart from that I was amazed when it was over, it didn't take long at all. Now have to wait 3 to 4 weeks for the results.

Aw, bless, tiredoldwoman, I really feel for you and your daughter. Please tell her that it isn't half as bad as the imagination suggests, and it's over before you know it. It's no use worrying about the results, three weeks is a long time to get worked up for, so it's on with business, ordering new furniture and getting other things cleared out and tidied up.

I've had very little bleeding when I thought I would need big pads, no tampons allowed, but only slight pink discharge/blood. A little period pain but then I am due for my period so it is probably that and not yesterday. I do wish your daughter all the very best and I hope she gets good results.
