Fibromyalgia/M.E. Awareness Day

Sorry to hear about your DD jogginggirl. It must be so hard for her trying to hold down a job and be a Mum. I hope that she doesn't try to do too much - easy to say, I know.

ME and fibro still seem to slip under the radar, both in the public arena and in terms of treatment/research/cure

I have a friend in her early thirties who uses a buggy due to Fibro. She also suffers a lot of falls. Horrible illness'

My DD has fibromyalgia. She has constant pain in her shoulders and she tires easily but still manages to home school her four children. I try to support her when I can but she lives about 115 miles away from me, in Scotland. I am trying to persuade my DH to move nearer to her when he retires in September, but he doesn't want to live in the city. I have great admiration for the way she manages particularly as her DH works offshore for several weeks at a time.

My DD is also a single parent and works as a teacher (which can be so stressful at times). She has an excellent GP and Consultant and takes a cocktail of drugs each day to help her get through.... I am constantly reminding her to 'pace' herself but the problem is that on a good day she feels like she wants to just get things done and then she pays for it!! I do understand but will continue to nag her ...?

hilda good luck with persuading your DH to move a little closer to your DD - I'm sure your support would be much appreciated.
