I had overactive thyroid years ago and was going to the hospital every month for 2 years then they wanted me to drink radio active iodine and I said no. I went to homeopathic practitioner and she cured it.

Hi Sparkle how right you are. A gentle treatment to. Not sure why it took me so long to try it bearing in mind I'd had good results in the past.

Hello, I have only posted on here a couple of times but I do read the threads most days. I had to add my support on a thread that is praising homeopathy. I was diagnosed with Asthma many years ago, but rarely use my inhalers because Arsen Alb (as overthehill mentions) is a wonderful remedy for breathing problems. Ipecac is also excellent for coughs and is an ingredient in many cough medicines. I turn to homeopathic remedies for every ailment because I hate taking drugs. As overthehill says, complementary medicines heal from the inside out, and sometimes you get a small "healing crisis" as the remedy works..... but work they definitely do!

I took arsen alb for the wheezing and mucus along with drosera for the coughing.

As it happened I did drop the inhalers which helped but didn't cure

Could it be that stopping taking all other medications was enough to clear it? Sometimes prescribed medication makes a problem worse not better.

My husband once had a persistant and annoying cough and the GP suggested he should try a homeopathic remedy (can't remember which one) DH is the last person in the world to believe in anything like this, but he took it grudgingly and the cough cleared up almost immediately! Coincidence? hmm

Agree. It's brilliant you are so much better. I use homeopathy myself, via an NHS provision, it undoubtedly helps me and certainly can do me no harm. It is often the case that remedies initially aggravate symptoms which then rapidly improve. Do I really understand how it works? No if I'm honest. Do I believe homeopathy helps me? Definitely.

grin how brilliant. Don't see it matters really. It seems to worked, so bring it on!

January 2015 we decorated our downstairs including replastering and new carpets furniture etc. After this I coughed non stop for 2 months. Went to the docs who gave me inhalers as I was also wheezing and said it could be asthma. Had x-ray all clear, had lung function test borderline ok so could be COPD. I carried on coughing not quite as bad but then 2 colds one before Christmas 2015 and one in January this year brought back the coughing, plus mucus so very congested. I have coughed all my life so don't take much notice till it gets unbearable.

I prefer the complimentary route if possible, so tried everything I could think of. Coconut oil, magnesium, evening primrose, zinc, hydrogen peroxide, turmeric these are just what I can bring to mind.

I suddenly thought of what I had used years ago but sort of forgotten Homoeopathy. It is not confirmed Asthma and I don't think it is as I don't have problems breathing, I think it is maybe fungus bought on by the chemicals in the decorating.

Anyway after around three weeks of taking the homoeopathic treatments I can't believe how well I feel. No coughing, no mucus, no wheezing, I can now sleep at night without waking up coughing and spluttering.

So for all the people who say it is claptrap, I say it's worked wonderfully for me. At first it did seem to get worse and that is expected as they say it works from the inside out so have patience.
