H Pylori

Oh shoot, bad luck nannybob. Let's hope the therapy gets rid of it for good this time.

I had one a couple of years ago and I have the discomfort back but not as bad. I am worried it might be returning.
Mine seemed to return following a general stomach upset. Whether or not they are related I don't know. I don't have any reflux problems.

Poor you nannybob Yes, about 15 years ago. I'd suffered with stomach problems for many many years without an answer and a newly qualified GP at my surgery had me to take the breath test which proved H Pylori bacteria. Triple antibiotics for 10 days (knocked me for six!) but it worked...no more pain, wonderful. 1 year later H Pylori returned. My GP explained that about 10% of sufferers have to take a second round of antibiotics. That second dose did the job. No problem since.

I've had it the once, nannybob. Had the triple therapy with immediate success a few months back and am now hoping never to get it again!
