Dry needling treatment for verrucas

Hi - I've had a verruca for over 10 years and it's getting bigger & more uncomfortable. I've used various over the counter treatments & I go regularly to a chiropodist who scrapes the top away to keep it manageable & comfortable enough to walk. My GP referred me to the verruca clinic but they told me they don't freeze them anymore for people of my age because it doesn't work. A local podiatry clinic is offering Dry-Needling treatment. Does anyone have experience of this? And does it work? It involves local anaesthetic so what qualifications should the practitioner have? The only reviews I've seen on the Internet are posted by podiatry or chiropodist professionals.
Many thanks & btw this is my first post! smile

Welcome to GN smile

I've not heard of this method. When I had a verruca years ago my GP told me to cover it with gaffa tape shock and renew it each day. I did it and each time a little of the verruca came away with the tape. It took a couple of weeks but it never returned.
I hope you find a solution.

Thank you ninathenana
I've heard about using duct tape & I guess that gaffa tape is the same?
If it worked for you then it's worth a try.

Yes the same really, also elastoplast without the dressing pad works the same.
