I'm worried that my daughter , mother of two is becoming dependent on alcohol. How can l help?

Oh dear that is a tough one - can you talk with her to see if anything is worrying her - could be a first step. There are lots of gransnetters I'm sure who will be able to offer more advice from personal and professional experience. I hope it is not as you fear.

Is she a 'highly functioning' or a 'non functioning' alcohol dependent?

Try to find out why she is unhappy. Alcohol is an escape from life as it is

Get support from an organisation like Alanon.
