I recently had a pre-assessment check before an intended operation on my arthritic thumb joint and was very surprised when I was told that the operation would have to be cancelled because I had a heart murmur. I'll be having an echocardiogram in ten days. Hopefully, the op can then go ahead.
I'm 70 and just wondered if anyone else has had this problem. The nurse practitioner, who did the assessment, told me that there can be a problem with heart valves as one ages. I'm trying not to worry too much - I've got no other symptoms - but, obviously, I'm a little concerned.
Making ‘winter’ dishes in June😱
