Yes, but a semblance of ... er... medical reliability... never goes amiss was my thinking wink

Nux Vomica sounds effective.

Plus I need to start somewhere in the blimmin' shop grin

That's interesting, tegan. I suppose that's to make people think it must be effective. Everything is 'poisonous' in sufficient quantity, even water. The thing about homeopathy is that any active ingredients are diluted to such minuscule levels that they are rendered harmless.
Placebos do work though. Sometimes.

'The homeopathic remedy nux vomica is prepared from strychnine, the toxic substance enclosed by the seeds of the poison-nut tree'...shock!

Yes, gk, that's the idea but I have to find a safe pill first.

Thanks, ab, I'll see if the local natural health shop has that.

In that case (placebo) can't you just give her any remedy in pill form and say it's for headache?

Does anyone know a homeopathic remedy for headache? Preferably a pill. I need a placebo that might prevent my mum overdosing on paracetamol (which isn't helping her anyway).
