I buy it in tablet form.

How much do you take? I've been adding @ half to one teaspoonful to a cup of water last thing at night and sometimes put a bit in my water bottle to drink throughout the day.

I was recommended D mannose by a urologist. It does work out quite expensive to buy though, as it's not available on prescription.

I had months of worrying this year after being sent for various tests after a PMB; I can't knock it I suppose because I've ended up having a pretty good MOT in that area, but I was sure it was just atrophy. What worried me at the time was that my GP didn't even mention that it could have been caused by that. I've just bought some DManoose.

Thank you so much, I suffer dreadfully from cystitis and UTI's On a recent GP visit she diagnosed Vaginal Atrophy and prescribed Vagifem, a localised Oestrogen, Apparently a years use is only equivalent to one HRT tablet ( or something like that !) I also take DManoose which has been a life saver, but it only works if the infection is as a result of ecoli. In between if I remember I try to take the DManoose on a prophylactic basis.

I will try and get the programme on catch up thanks again for the heads up.

Thank you Db. I will listen when the house is less full! I'm glad these things are being spoken about in public.

A really good item on this morning's Woman's Hour, it may be helpful to those of you who suffer. It was the last item before the serial if you are looking on iPlayer.
(kittylester I thought of you in particular. )
