Colds

Sympathy to all who are suffering at the moment. I have a hideous cough but not much else in the way of symptoms. It has been worse when lying flat so I have spent a few nights sleeping in a chair. I had a good night last night though as I put Vicks on the soles of my feet (a tip I learned from GN).

Thank you grannypiper. Now starting to feel a tad better but coughing +++ and banished to the spare room at nights.

I also hate these people who go out and cough on all and sundry because they get bored at home! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

Well here I am with cold number 1 of the winter. I have had it for 10 days now and of course have developed bronchitis, as always. Every blooming time! I am not particularly ill, just a slight temp, no voice to speak of and a cough that makes me sound as if I have been smoking 50 a day for the last 50 years! (I have never ever smoked). OH had the same cold for 48 hours and is now fine. I am very pleased for him and not at all jealous - much.

He (a doc) has a theory that it relates to me being a cystic fibrosis carrier.

Sorry to hear your not feeling too good. I think the problem is that people dont stay at home when they have a heavy cold and traipse around sneezing and coughing there germs everywhere and lots of young people dont seem to know what a tissue is. Hope you feel better soon

Maybe we have more time to think about the discomfort a cold causes as we get older when we where younger we had no time to feel poorly did we.?
