Mm-DD1 a lovely wife, Mum, professional lady but drinks most days and is very sedentary. You wouldn't say obese but does have weight probs-I SO hope she'll take it on board and do something about it.
I was lucky, never owned a car and could walk to work for 30 years including a brisk walk uphill on the way home-didn't really notice it was a hill and didn't change my pace.
Have never liked alcohol and am a small eater and always done keep fit (aerobics years ago-makes me feel exhausted just thinking about it now.
It is a lifestyle choice I think.

Yes merlot I am part of the sandwich generation.
I had to wait until DH retired this year before I could have an operation on my ankle.
6 weeks with out driving was just not an option.

They are also saying that the sandwich generation of woman are so pushed with caring for elderly parents as well as children/grandchildren that they don't pay enough attention to their own health needs.

Yep! Been there.

It's lucky I am no longer middle aged. smile

This is a pretty sad indictment of people today. In the 1950s people seemed so slim, but of course women in particular did more physical work and didn't snack.

I feel a bit porky over the Xmas hols so will be back at Keep Fit soon and possibly having a dry January or maybe February as it is a shorter month - cheers folks. wine
