In my 20s, My little toe got infected through Athletes Foot. It looked exactly like a radish! A week on antibiotics and keeping my foot up put it right and gave me a very easy time over Christmas as I couldn't stand at the sink to wash up!

I had athlete's foot once as a student. I used Fullers Earth Powder.

DH had similar problem many years ago. He made a paste with bicarbonate of soda and massaged it into his foot for a couple of minutes and then rinsed and dried thoroughly and finished off with a dusting of medicated talc (think it was Cuticura). He did this twice a day for a few weeks and let his feet air as much as possible. He hasn't been troubled since.

When I had itchy feet, like you I thought it was probably athletes foot, but using applications for that didn't work. It turned out, after speaking with my podiatrist, that it was a case of very dry feet / dehydration. His advice was to stay hydrated and to use a good foot cream following washing. Worked like a dream. Worth trying perhaps? Almost instant results.

You need Canestan cream - Athletes Foot is a Candida and needs proper treatment- this should clear it up for you very quickly.I am sure you do this but keep feet clean and dry, don't share towels or flannels and change socks/tights daily. Go barefoot as often as possible. I'm sure this isn't you but some people keep their nice cosy slippers going for a long while after they need renewing - if you see what I mean!!!

E45 itch relief cream? It really helps me cope with eczema.
