It is a wake up call to make sure your diabetes is better controlled Nina. A friend had this but her eyesight was saved, then she went on to have an amputation.

Good luck.

We have a friend who has this and has had several laser treatments over the years. He is still driving but only during the day now. He is 65 this year and still continuing to work as a joiner. I had the same treatment for a raised blood vessel due to extremely bad eyesight about 15 years ago - it's left me with a small blind spot just below the macula but I don't notice it most of the time. Good luck - hope it goes well flowers

I've today been told I need lazer treatment for this. I'm not too worried about the procedure. What does worry me is reading that if you need several procedures it can cause other problems which would then prevent me from driving sad sad H dosen't drive and local transport is pants. Has this happened to you or anyone you know, what are the odds ?
