Try not to worry, merlotgran and just be grateful he was seen so speedily. The stuff you mention luckygirl, is it aldara? If so you are right, it is dreadful stuff. my poor husband coukdnt stand it and we had to stop using it. Currently being monitored for skin cancer, as well as waiting for surgery for prostate cancer, our cup truly runneth over.

Thanks, Lucky. In the early stages I thought I could get rid of it with TCP which my Dad used to call a Terribly Corrosive Product!

Didn't work though. The bloomin' thing just got bigger.

My OH has loads of them and we treat them when they are tiny with some horrible caustic stuff - we have to time it for when there are no little ones likely to get too close to him.

Hope your OH's op goes smoothly merlot.

DH is to have one removed from the top of his head next Thursday. It began as a small spot but grew rapidly so I took him to our local minor injuries centre as I couldn't get a GP appointment for at least two weeks. They arranged an emergency appointment for the same afternoon and the referral to Addenbrookes was also PDQ.

The speed worried us as appointments often take a long time but the dermatologist assured him it's likely to be harmless although he will have to have a skin graft over the wound.

I'm trying not to worry as he's already down in the dumps following an emergency operation over Easter to fit a pacemaker after he collapsed with heart block.

Does anyone have any experience of Keratoacanthoma - or Kerry Katona as DH calls it grin
