Well - it seems that this is the cause of my wheezy cough - asthma at age 68??

I did use an inhaler a bit about 5 years ago when I had a cough that would not go away, but that nipped it in the bud and nothing much since.

I have had a cough (wheezy) since November and had a chest x-ray which showed lungs over-inflated. Had some peak flow tests which were not at all bad; but I have been given an inhaler with spacer for when the cough and wheeze starts. It works like a dream!

Anyone else had this diagnosis at this age? Bit of a surprise really.

It's worse in the winter or if I get any kind of cold or virus. I take quite a big dose of a preventer symbicort. I think I was very slow at admitting that I had it. So that delay has exacerbated the condition. It is getting worse but please remember it may not be the same for you. Perhaps it's the terrible stress I've been under and to put it frankly I've got fat. I hope like your names sake you will be lucky Luckygirl
