Antihistamines..work well on bites as well as other things.

Goodness, you have a plenty on your list. Your cruise ship will have supplies.

Sorry should have said that most of the time we are cruising with limited availability of supplies on board!!

Maw , anusol? Just in case you developed haemorrhoids while on holiday?? Surely you would only pack that if you already had them?

Anyway, our American cousins are so up to speed with haemorrhoids they probably sell over the counter cauterising kits, or maybe have drive through treatment places, bit like a car wash, but you drop your trousers and bend over.

Treatment applied, bit of a buff and polish and away you go!

Actually, when I went to the States I didn't pack any sort of first aid kit, just sunscreen blush

What phoenix said
unless you are going to the Wild West!
Have a good holiday

ps I do take Anthisan with me to Australia for bites as it's not available there.

Good grief, it's not a third world country, you can get all of that at most stores, and probably cheaper! Just pack some plasters and paracetamol, and obviously any prescription meds.

Enjoy your holiday.

I'd take minimal amounts as you can buy medications such as Imodium much cheaper in the US than in the U.K. They also have better OTC creams for stings and bites.

Be careful about taking anything with codeine in it, as in some states it's not available OTC like it is the UK and you could run into trouble.

Sunscreen and take vit b multivits to stop the mozzies biting you, does you no harm but makes your skin taste nasty to a mozzie and garlic capsules for same reason, swear by this combo

Anusol, gaviscon

Luckygirl Tue 20-Jun-17 22:29:02

Dioralyte, imodium.

We are off to USA next week. What should we take in our first aid kit? So far we have paracetamol, plasters, savlon, ralgex, arret, travel sickness tablets, eye bath, voltarol. Any suggestions?
