Fosfomycin antibiotic powder.

Thanks - we haven't had the result of the urine test yet, but the frequency of need to 'go' at night remains, and very slight pain in the the nether regiins.
So it seems maybe due to something else.

I looked it up and it seems to be an alternative to nitrofurantoin which I have when I get a UTI. The reason I need this is because the bug is resistant to the normal antibiotic. It is a handy way of taking the drug just one time as far as I can see instead of several days.

Has anyone ever taken this?
It' seems to be a one-off dose to treat cystitis. which I haven't had for ages, but he thinks that's what my symptoms are due to.
I took a sample.
Ihope he's right, because I was imagining all sorts of other things, needing an operation etc.
