It flares up occasionally on my decollete area but I have no idea what causes it. Does anyone?

My grandad was told his was caused by drinking too much strong black tea. He was a miner so this amounted to about a gallon a day. He didn't drink beer.

He was told to add milk to his tea to reduce the effect of the tannin, or to drink it weaker.

Whether any of this was useful to him I've no idea.

Well thanks Baggs - I do drink two mugs of builder's for breakfast but that's my lot. I add a little no-lactose milk. But mine are occasional flareups and this puzzles me. Obviously wool next to the skin is NOT good either.

Yes, I am an occasional sufferer and there is new research now that indicates it is due to an over population of a skin mite that we all carry. Sorry if that sounds gross but a cream that kills off the mite has had amazing results in long term sufferers.

For this, I recommend DermalMD rosacea treatment, since one of the symptoms of rosacea could be having pimples, redness and skin irritation and it's not acne. I hope this helps you!
