So sorry to read about your anxiety & depression Tuppence15, I lived for many years with a fellow sufferer, who tried differing remedies to alleviate his depression. There are so many counselling books out there & really it's a case of trial & error as to which may suit your own personality. Your personality is key to finding out what will suit you i.e. do you like facts & figures or meditive thinking or are you more practical? Ideally if you know or can fathom out the source of your anxiety you can go on line & find access to the books most dedicated to your particular situation. Most depressions have roots in our learnt attitudes & situations from childhood, so learning to replace old learnt thoughts about ourselves from childhood is a step in the right direction, we need to be a caring parent to the child who still lives in our adult selves. Psychology books are very helpful, going on line to access self help books will help you find an outlook that you can buy into, good luck you are not alone xx
