Hello all. I have a problem with eczema. Usually this is easily fixed as I have good moisturisers and steroid cream. The problem is, I have eczema on my eyelids. It's very itchy and sore, as it causes my eyelids to crack. It seems as I can't use any of my moisturisers around my eyes, even the mildest cream causes irritation. Can any of you suggest a solution? I'm going crazy trying not to rub them!!

I have used this on my eyelids and it has worked very well.

It is about £17 so isn't cheap but was effective.

hilda I feel your pain, I have blepharitis and at times I just want to claw my eyes out, which of course only makes it worse. I do sometimes use the very tiniest bit of the mildest steroid cream on my eyelids to calm it down, I know it’s not supposed to be used near eyes but sometimes I’m desperate! An antihistamine tablet can help too. I’ve been advised to bathe my eyes with a mild solution of baby shampoo and use hydrating drops, I get them on prescription as I’m allergic to some over the counter ones. I hope you find something that works for you

I have eczema and find plain Vaseline the best soothing and hydrating thing for eyes. Simple and cheap. Steroid creams often have petroleum jelly in them for this reasons
