Name a small thing that makes you happy!

Knowing that I have lots of days to come during the school holiday that I spend with my gs while mummy and daddy work .. My idea of heaven , it makes me so happy , tired but happy!

My grandchildren and adult children first but I love a day where I haven't got to make any "official " phone calls or deal with any paperwork ( hopefully in the throes of moving house so this is why)

Christmas Eve, when I know everyone in the family has reached wherever they’re going and no one is still on the road. At this time of year, a tomato sandwich, made with crusty White bread and real butter.

Being able to hang out a whole line of washing before going to work knowing it will be dry when I get back. I can picture it now...... wish I was there

Sitting out in the garden at dusk when it is still warm watching the bats and the rustling of birds in the trees. Even better with a glass of something in my hand

A nice cup of tea

Curling up with a good book

Sitting in the garden

Watching television in bed in the evenings (or any time, really).

Anything written by my young grandchildren.

I also agree with M0nica about the first signs of Autumn. There’s a time when the dew on the grass is noticeable in the mornings and the trees have a faint gilding. It always thrills me.

Our 4 yr old (just) GS saying over the phone, I am inviting you to come and stay in my house.

Sunshine and a decent cup of coffee. Easily pleased.

When the house is all tidy! I know that's weird but I really cant stand mess.
