Has anyone experience of a tooth implant protruding from the side of the gum? What would the next step be if this was the case?

Go back to the dentist/specialist a.s.a.p. Same as any surgical procedure.

Alls well had a chat with the dentist. Things are moving along nicely and quite normally. Whew.
