Interesting link,*BradfordLass*.
I'll ask DD1 about it, she's into these biochemical things. And always telling what I should and shouldn't do to stay healthy.

Yep, I've been using it for years. I take one at night only.

I do find though, in my case at least, that after a while, it sort of builds up in my body and then I'm a bit dozy during the day - well, more dozy than usual smile

Here's a good link to different types of magnesium.

I'll look out for that offer Nanny - thanks.
And will look at the spray too, littleflo.
I've never mentioned this to my doctor, yet. Too many other things!
From talking to other people there seem to be different causes. I think mine comes from an arthritic left hip. Before I had my right hip replaced the surgeon asked me if I had rls on that side, as if this was a common cause.

I take magnesium tablet every day, the boots one, buy them when on offer, three for two, they sort out jumpy legs completely, wouldn’t be without them.

I use the magnesium spray on my legs. I get it from Holland and Barrett. I was told that it is hard to digest magnesium and that absorption is better. A spray lasts about 3 months.

DH had this recently but read that one cause could be iron deficiency. He started tak8ng folic acid ( having checked with GP) and the problem stopped within 2 days.

I’ve had RLS for upwards of 20 years Fennel, it really is awful, only a fellow sufferer knows what it’s like to be unable to control the spasms.

I’m presently taking Pramipexole prescribed by my GP but it still ‘breaks through’ about once every ten days or so.

I tried magnesium in both pills and spray oil form, didn’t work for me but we all react differently. Hope it works for you.

There have been discussions about restless leg syndrome in the past.
I'm a long term sufferer, but TG not every night. After one particularly bad night last week when I didn't get to sleep until 4am I decided to try magnesium tablets. Bought some from Boots, quite expensive at £6+ for a month's supply.
Does anyone else use magnesium for this?
