I don't think you wasted any ones time , it would be a shame if everyone just worried alone . Surely it is better to seek reassurances , and we are happy that is all is well in this instance xxx

The bullseye rash appears up to 30 days after being bitten, I have not been in any grass at all for a few months,but thank you.

I just wanted to add that the bulls eye rash is a warning, and if it is from a tick antibiotic treatment must be started asap.
If ignored, a delayed response of very debilitating symptoms.
I found ticks nearly every day on our dogs, when we lived in France, and about once a week on myself. Once I felt itches on my back, checked myself in the mirror and saw 7 baby ones hooking in
As long as you remove them within ?24 hours they can't pass on their venom which they get from infected animals, mostly deer. We just used finger nails to pull them off, then put them on the fire.

I'm glad that your rash has gone away. The fact that you posted meant that you were concerned about it. I appreciate that you posted because I learned more about tick bites. We live in deer country and I plan on taking more precautions this spring and summer to help prevent getting bitten.

But biting spiders! I've never heard of them. Ughh!!

I live in an area that's bad for ticks and, though they aren't usually out at this time, the weather has brought them out since January. You don't need to be on grass for them to appear. They can be brought in on someone else's clothes and the last one I had appeared above my bra line and could only have got there by hanging off a tree and diving down my collar. Please get the bullseye rash checked as it is supposed to be one of the most telling clues that you may have been bitten by a tick.

Not just bitten by a tick, but bitten by one that is carrying the disease. Not all ticks are carriers of Lyme Disease.
Or pyroplasmosis which is the version that affects dogs.

Instead of making an appointment with the Dr, why not just pop along to local chemist shop and ask the Pharmacist? I often find this is a good way of getting a diagnosis for things if you think it's not worth bothering the Dr.

There used to be a TV advert saying "Ask your Pharmacist".

I agree Tangerine for many things, but the point here is that if you've got the bullseye rash it's almost certainly a sign of something that need antibiotics asap.
It was the same with one of our dogs. I found a tick embedded above his eye which had probably been there for a few days. He became weak - the infection kills the red blood cells. Took him to the vet, antibiotic injection. The vet said he could die overnight, or recover completely. TG he recovered.
You can't delay with suspected tick infections.
