I like Dr Google because I only look at sites like the NHS one and if it has 10 symptoms and I only have 8 of them I know I don't have whatever it is. grin

The GP would have seen my blood tests. They didn't comment on them so must still be acceptable, just me realising I was bordeline on the triangle of high bp, glucose and cholesterol.

Thank you Anja a very helpful reply. smile

Oh yes give Dr Google the sack and make an appointment with your GP if it is metabolic syndrome the GP will want you on a specific regime to lower your risks.

No, but I’ve heard of this and it is as you say the triangle of high BP, high cholesterol and high blood glucose.

It’s really what predicts who is going to get type two diabetes. I’d add to that high visceral fat.

DH has this and so has his mother and it can also be a precursor to vascular dementia.

Sack Dr Google! Go to your real doctor if s/he'll still take you seriously!

Just hoping for some replies really. Anybody diagnosed with metabolic syndrome? How did they get to the diagnosis? I tried the on line test and it said possible, the only thing I haven't got it's the large waist measurement.

Has anybody been diagnosed with Metabolic Syndrome ? I have genetic high blood pressure but lately I've also noticed that I seem to be bordeline sugar and cholesterol despite healthy eating/living. I used to suffer from bad health anxiety (was called hypochondria then) so perhaps I'm reading too much into this. Good old dr Google!
