Hello everyone...

Marilla Mon 01-Jul-19 11:28:18

Hello everyone.
Dawn, I will be glad when September arrives. I find life less of a struggle when the days aren’t quite so long.
I don’t wish to sound like a misery guts. I have always felt more at ease with the cooler weather and being wrapped up in comfier clothes. I find the light kinder too.

Anniebach Mon 01-Jul-19 11:17:30

Anniebach Sun 30-Jun-19 21:52:22

Dawn you brought MIRACULOUS here m lovely word.

Yes six months have past, I admit I am feeling down, ?January I started therapy and then tried so hard to have a garage for Fred, had such hopes of getting out and about on him, all my plans went wrong.

Need to make new plans ?

Hi all x

Welcome home nanny glad you enjoyed your holiday, hope you feel better after it.

Cherry yes it may be hard but say what you can , don’t avoid anything which could cause tears x

Loved your telling of the miracle , it surely was one, and great that you found pleasure in your visit x

Joce hello x

I am so bored, cut back on use of iPad, lying on sofa resting leg . Younger daughters husband is home so fewer telephone chats .

Trying not to think about going for the x Ray on Wednesday, no point , I have to have it done. My younger daughter is coming home on Wednesday, she is hoping to be at my home by the time I get back. I will need a cup of tea ?

The year is half over tonight folks.
Any thoughts from anyone on that?

Thank you Annie for the definition of the word MIRACULOUS. Tomorrow l will try and have a miraculous start to the day rather than an anxious start.

Evening all and thank you for your support.

I will try not to hold back Annie
It will be hard as I don't think that I have ever totally shared my thoughts.
I have always been the care giver even as young child.

Encouraged by my DH we had a pleasant day out at Witley Court in Worcestershire.

Apologies to anyone who lives in the area or has visited this lovely English Heritage site.
But I think a miracle is worth sharing.

Sadly in the late 1930's a fire ravaged through Witley Court.
Attached to the building was a beautiful little Baroque church with a Gold Dome and lovely Clock tower.

Just as the fire was about to reach the church, miraculously the wind changed direction leaving the church completely unscathed and also miraculously no injuries or loss of life.

It is now the Parish church (St Michael and all Angels).
Inside I was immediately transported to Italy.
(Not bad as I have never visited Italy?)

Wishing all the Black Dog gang a peacful night. ?

Joce345 Sun 30-Jun-19 12:05:25

Nothing like good news to make you happy. So happy for you nonnie enjoy ?

Anniebach Sun 30-Jun-19 11:59:53

nonnie you have had ‘good news’, so happy for you , enjoy the party x

Nonnie Sun 30-Jun-19 11:53:43

Thanks Cherry, I'll look at the GP website and see if there is anything helpful there although the doc didn't mention self referral. Will also take up annie's suggestion.

Phone rang at 2 am and I thought it was the alarm going off so was trying to silence it. DH was muttering 'why don't you answer your phone'. Eventually spoke to DS who couldn't wait to tell me some good news. We couldn't get back to sleep so sat in bed having a drink and telling each other how wonderful our family is. Then just a little sleep before the alarm did go off so got up to do an airport run. Later we have an hour's drive to a party so very tired but happily very proud of DS too. Good things do happen sometimes!

Hi all x

Dawn great positive words thank you , I looked up the definition of MIRACULOUS, -

‘ remarkable and bringing very welcome consequences’ ,

You are awarded a ?

Dawn22 Sun 30-Jun-19 09:55:29

Hi Annie and everyone.

Yes for anyone of us with anxiety you are so right that it is truly awful. No if's or but's about it . Morning anxiety grrrrrr for those of us who endure it leads towards your new word Annie of aw.....ing.

Just another idea. I love words and the power of right words. I did look up words this morning that have the opposite meaning/thinking to the word awful. These were my favourite ten -

1. Admirable.

2. Calming.

3. Comforting.

4. Divine.

5. Gentle.

6. Glorious.

7. Peaceful.

8. Pleasant.

9. Safe.

10. MIRACULOUS.. (My very own personal favourite).

May the day be as anxiety free for us all as is possible.

It amused me Joce so I had to share it. ?

I so wish I could relax my shoulders , they must be close to my ears most of the day.

Joce345 Sat 29-Jun-19 21:57:57

Annie....sorry to hear of your bereavement, and your health problems. Hopefully, you'll be seen and treated very soon. x

Cherrytree59 Sat 29-Jun-19 17:49:59

Thankyou Annie smile

Nonnie I think I will also have long wait for counselling.
The well person clinic (I'm still not sure I have got the right terminology, as I was in a bit of a stew!) is a one off appointment at our drs surgery.
To discuss issues that are affecting the patients life and well being.
I think it is with a psychologist and last for about an hour.

The form was a tick the box for bereavnent, stress, depression, anxiety and anger issues etc.
I think I ticked all except anger issues!

It is possible that the appointment is to decide the type of help the patient requires.

I will report back after the appointment.

I gave since learned that another health clinc in the same Shire (different town) offers the same type of clinic.
Nonnie Would it be worth enquiring at your health clinic.
It is done by self referral.
