nonnie that sounds lovely. Today I have driven to Berkshire picked up my gd from minders took her to Macdonald's and then to get a comic . Somehow conned into a toy as well...tomorrow I am taking her to the cinema and then to lunch. I've been looking forward to it since tuesday
Walked part way into town yesterday then got on a bus. I nice young man lifted one of the side seats for me and we had a very pleasant chat. He thought all older people were nice! I managed to get all the odd things I was looking for then came back on the bus with one of our lovely neighbours. In addition I had messaged my GP's surgery with a suggestion about one of my meds which involved taking 2 different doses on one drug instead of three but still getting the same does over a week. Had a call saying good and they wished more patients thought like that. All little things but they feel big to me at the moment.
nanny bullies often back down when confronted with their bullying but not always. May I suggest you imagine me, or whomever suits you' sitting on your shoulder saying 'keep you dignity but be firm' over and over again. Whatever the outcome you will come away knowing that you didn't resort to bad behaviour.
Annie perhaps you could write down what you want to say? I find it helps to set it in my mind but is handy to refer to at the time. I have known GPs who really appreciate it because it means they know what the situation is and can prevent the need for another appointment.
Just dropping in to wish you good luck with the council tomorrow annie. I hope whoever comes is someone sensible who gets that you really need that handrail.
Kandinsky well done. I struggle because I can get either very nasty or very angry. And I dont want to be either...well I do but I dont ha ha. I'm just rubbish at being controlled verbally. Luckily I'm off tomorrow and then shes off for a week.
nanny2507 your work colleague sounds awful, you really should pull her up on her behaviour. I had the misfortune to work with someone like this a few years ago, she was actually a bully who enjoyed picking on the quiet ones. I took it for so long until one day I finally snapped and pulled her up on it. She actually started crying and blamed her behaviour on ‘problems at home’ - bloody cheek, don’t take your problems out on me.
hello everyone how have your days been? Ive been at work today not a good day a woman at work is driving me mad she speaks to me like rubbish in front of others and i will only take it for so long but I do not pull her up in front of others as I am not that rude...it then festers for days and then its too late to deal with it. I have decided that when she does it again I am going to say something before I lose my temper.
Hope you all have a good day. I am trying to be positive and plan to walk into town after finishing my coffee. I am fortunate that I can use a bus route so if it feels to much I can stop and get on a bus. My problems are not physical so I am willing myself to do it.
Thank you Sparkle I wouldn’t have thought of seeking help if someone hadn’t advised me to phone social services , mouse is a feral cat nanny has befriended x
Annie go for it, they are supposed to consider impact on you of their decisions, as someone living with a disability and asking for help to make your home safer.
I didn’t know mice bit! You poor thing nanny2507 I hope it heals fast.
The Queen is such a lady, a huge smile to welcome the Donald and his wife. Anyone see the video of the Camilla wink? She’s gone up 8 points in my opinion after that wink, naughty!
