Morning all up early. 5am errr really don’t like the mornings.
Hopefully you all had a good night sleep..
Hi Annie hope you brave it to your garden chair to get some sun on you, may talk to a few neighbours

Anniebach Tue 28-May-19 22:17:08

.kandinsky do join us, we will listen and we will share, some of us have depression, some anxiety, some both . I have agoraphobia, I have in the past been in hospital with post natal depression and depression brought on by grief,
I am having therapy now and had not linked my phobia to something which happened 53 years.

I am sure others will speak of their depression too, I csn promise we all understand x

Kandinsky Tue 28-May-19 22:05:30

Hi Anniebach
Thank you for your kindness.
Depression brought on by an extremely upsetting event yes, ( some years ago now ) I’ve tried to come to terms with it, but just when I think I have I’m right back there again. No triggers particularly, it just happens.
It would be great to join this support thread if that’s ok?
Very difficult to talk people in RL as I pretend everything’s fine.

Anniebach Tue 28-May-19 21:53:41

kzdinsky please speak to your GP and we are here to listen and support x

nanny2507 Tue 28-May-19 21:34:30

hello annie have you had a better day today x

Anniebach Tue 28-May-19 21:32:44

Kandinsky I don’t think any of us can say yes or no, much depends on the cause of your depression. May I ask ? Has there been a deeply upsetting happening in your life or would you say ‘I feel very depressed but for no reason ‘?

nanny2507 Tue 28-May-19 21:00:47

some people think you can but in my own experience even meds dont bring me out of my depression

Kandinsky Tue 28-May-19 20:51:29

Hi all.
Quick question if I may.
Is it ever possible to overcome depression without drugs or any other intervention? ( CBT etc ) basically, what I’m asking is, can you just beat depression on your own? even severe depression?

nanny2507 Tue 28-May-19 20:44:55

Hi all hope you are all having a positive day.. I am haveing problams getting to the thread haveto go a long way round but no worries found you all ..
how you doing today Annie x

Nonnie Tue 28-May-19 12:52:32

You all seem to post in the evening when I have switched off because screen time in the evening is suspected as one of the causes of insomnia.

Having difficulty finding positives today. Great things happened for our family yesterday but they made me think of my DS all day and I was very sad. DH & DS said they felt his presence all day and that gave them comfort. They had a few 'incidents' which they were sure were his influence too. We had champagne last night and poured an extra one for him. Special service tonight where he will be mentioned, not going to be easy.

Anyone else got something positive to say?

HI Annie sorry to hear it was a not good day, hope it improves as we go on this week.

Dawn22 ooops Sorry, I buy Canabidol at a health food shop, LoveCBD online.

SparklyGrandma Tue 28-May-19 06:13:04

Hi Dawn22 I buy Canabidol capsules, 30 x 10 mg ones or LoveCBD Entourage capsules.

I can’t stand the taste of the oils and pastes.

Dawn22 Mon 27-May-19 23:30:29

Hi Sparkly
Could l ask you what brand of CBD oil you take and do you buy it online or in a health food shop?
Thanks so much for any advice on the above. Night everyone from Dawn.

Marilla Mon 27-May-19 22:38:48

I’m sorry to see that you have not had a good day Anniebach. I hope you manage to have a comfortable night’s sleep. Night, night.

Anniebach Mon 27-May-19 21:37:47

Hello Sparkle so pleased the day was ok for you.

When I had severe post natal depression I refused ECT,
yet a friend posted recently that she received it when a teenager and it saved her life ,

I have a not good day but it will pass

SparklyGrandma Mon 27-May-19 20:19:23

Hello Annie and everyone. How has your day been?

Cool rainy day here, been out to corner shop, reading, a not bad Bank Holiday.

ECT shock treatment has largely been stopped on the NHS for depression as there is no robust evidence for it. Also, for some, it wipes memory.

Looking forward to quick trip out to Bank plus coffee tomorrow brew.
