When medical advice is conflicting (a lighthearted thread!)

Doodle exactly the same problem for me. I decided to deal with the Osteoporosis now, cholesterol can wait the bones won't.

I had osteoporosis. G.P. told me to eat milk, cheese butter etc. 6 months later.. cholesterol too high..cut out the cheese butter etc ?

I suppose it can't be as bad as a boil on your bum where the GP tells you to keep an eye on it.

I had a very similar conundrum. I have arthritis in my neck and the medical advice is to use only one small pillow. I don't really like it but it really works. If I stay in a hotel even one night with a thick pillow gives me neck pain.
Now I have a lung condition and the consultant told me to sleep propped up with extra pillows.....

My solution is two thick books under the headboard end of the bed. So my head is raised up but I still use my thin pillow.

I have an electric bed and sleep with both my head and feel raised as it is the most comfortable position for a damaged spinal nerve. We have a super king sized bed so that we both have separate mattresses and motors!
