Concerns about a mole

Try not to worry . I had a malignant melanoma on my leg,which was misdiagnosed by my GP. A second opinion meant an operation and skin graft -and that was in 1989 and I’m still here. , The chances are that your daughter’s mole is benign, but if not it can be dealt with . Things have moved on a lot since 1989!

My ( 30ish) daughter had a large mole removed from her thigh,' just in case' That was 10,years ago - no problem!

Oh Annie i hope gp is being diligent it's better that than go sending your daughter away without making sure .

^ It was a BCC and there was a 14 month wait for a first appointment to be seen so I took out a loan to go privately.^
Grannytotwins* I'm shocked. Recently the GP took a look at something on my lower leg, thought it looked a bit suspicious and referred me to the hospital - the appointment came through for 10 days later. It turned out to be something completely different anyway. This was with the NHS.
I hope you are fully recovered now.

Anniebach try not to worry. The doctor is doing the right thing and I hope your DD's appointment comes through as quickly as mine and it proves to be nothing to worry about.
