Omeprazole

I read this today Gabriella just as I was researching some of DH’s medication, from which he is having some nasty side effects.

Poor, poor children . I don’t know what else to say really except ask how far they had been tested ?

It's a dreadful thing to have happened, but it has nothing to do with the drug Omeprazole itself has it? The thread title is misleading.

Surely you would have to be born with that syndrome?

No, they were not born with that syndrome they are children who were 'prescribed' medication which was contaminated with Regaine, the hair growth supplement.

The photos with newspaper articles are misleading as they show other children with genetic condition. The babies affected just had fine hair all over which fell out when they stopped taking. Mistake was in a pharmacy and nothing to do with the Omeprazole capsules for adults.
