I have sinus problems and it got to the stage where my ears were popping when watching t.v as well as other symptoms. The pharmacist recommended Pollenase and told me to continue use for three months for any effect. My three months is now up and it has made a difference, although not sure if it will last. Also not experienced any side effects even though it is a steroid based spray.
I have also started to try two tricks that sound daft but help. Firstly put your tongue to the roof of your mouth and with two fingers press point between your eyebrows. Hold for a few minutes. This is your sinus acupuncture point. The second is to pinch your nose and hold your breath for as long as possible. Apparently it tells the sinus to jump into action.
If you try acupuncture I for one would be interested to know if it was successful.

I have considered acupuncture but haven't yet got round to it. I am willing to try anything. My ears are blocked about 50% of the time lately. At the moment I am trying "plantain and eyebright tincture" which tastes vile but I do think it has some effect.

Do come back and tell us what the acupuncturist says and whether it helps at all.

It works for some people and not for others. And there are 2 main types of acupuncture- an adapted modern form practiced only by qualified doctors, and traditional Chinese method.

My OH was fascinated and chose to train, as an experienced GP, to treat some things with acupunture- and he did with great success, for joint pain, sinus, etc. He never used it for weight loss or stopping smoking etc. So who do you have an appointment with? There are also many pressure points you can learn to use yourself to relieve sinus problems. You could Google 'acupressure and sinuses' - can't do any harm.
Inhalations are still the most effective for most people.

I’ve had huge success with acupuncture, not for sinus but other issues.
It worked wonderfully.

I had acupuncture for RSI with great success but would be interested to hear about sinuses too.

I had a free preliminary meeting with an acupuncturist yesterday. Jura, the practitioner was not a doctor but was well qualified. We have agreed to start treatment in a couple of weeks for sinus and joint problems, probably once a week at first. We will review before Christmas to decide whether there is any improvement .
