I have started making a strange noise.

Both my sons have done that from birth, in fact it is what alerted me often to the fact they were actually falling asleep.

It's not a frog croak just a little murmur, as one might say 'Mmmm' in agreement with something.

I'm not aware that I do it but I know my son (40) still does.

Are you related to my DH, Gonegirl?
He makes weird noises when he's dropping off to sleep and often in the night too.

He says he always wanted a sister.

I groan in my sleep, but only when I’ve got a sore throat.

Apparently as soon as I drift off to sleep I make a moaning sound, even if cat napping in front of the TV. I can even hear it myself at times! I remember being told this even as a child!

I've had the camera down and have a sliding hernia, but don't take my meds.

I googled the croaking sound, and its fairly common.

Its driven some people to get quite depressed when they need to do work presentations and speeches.
They open their mouth to speak and "croak" comes out.

It can sound like a burp, too.

Oh now! Pretty sure I've got one of those (hiatus hernia). I have to take omeprazole but have managed to avoid the camera down throat.

Awww. I like that. Specially Rupert.

Seriously, I have no idea what causes it overeating but its really loud and seems to be something to do with my hiatus hernia.

All together now..

Yep. That's it. Glad it's not just me. grin

I think I make it too.
It sounds like a frog croaking; well, mine does, anyway.

Either that or I've got Kermit hiding out in my room.

It's when I am drifting off to sleep at night. I can hear myself doing it. It's not snoring because it is on the out breath. It's like, "herrrr, herrrr. My voice is definitely involved.

It wakes DH up. He quietly says, "be quiet", and I stop for a minute or two. Then off I go again.

Am I just weird? confused
