It's not helpful to quote sensationalised passages from newspapers re Brexit as it too is a serious issue but there are many on here who do just that.
It is a well researched subject, not by journalists but by the medical profession in countries around the world.
The journo in this case was reiterating findings from respected sources, sources just as respected as your own doctor and a lot more knowledgeable in their field than any GP.
I wonder how many GNers have referred to news articles in a post, probably the vast majority at one time or another.
Michael Mosely presented an interesting and informative programme about 18 months ago on this subject and discussed it with doctors and professors from highly reputable UK institutions.
My two posts were invitations to explore the articles, one in a news article and one in a magazine (re type 2 diabetes) but it's funny that not one person has mentioned the latter article as me having 'thrown out' a sensationalised piece of writing and sitting smug in the knowledge that I haven't got type 2.
I wonder why.
Both articles on issues which have been discussed on here many times but only one garnering bared teeth and sniping remarks about the poster who wrote neither article.
Some people need to wind their necks in.
