Hello all. I had an upper back tooth removed 5 days ago and it is healing nicely. My gums are a little sore and tender and I am still eating soft food on one side of my mouth only. Any advice on when I can go back to normal eating/chewing. Thank you.

Had one out 3 weeks ago. I would say about 2 weeks before you can forget it, even then there's times when it reminds you to take care! If course everyone is different.

Well we re all different but I usually only eat soft food for the day of extraction and at most the next day then ear normally your gums will harden up as you use them

For sore gums there is something called Gengigel (as a mouthwash or a gel you can apply with a q tip).. Usually, but not always, available in Boots, or try Amazon.
Used sparingly it lasts for ages. I find it very effective.

Maybe ask your dentist for advice?
