I feel awful they are sending an ambulance.

I've probably only pulled something or maybe it's just terrible indigestion. I got a bit tipsy earlier and ate too much. They said they have to send an ambulance for any chest pain. I feel awful wasting their time as they said it will be a while and there must be people who need it more. Don't know what to do with myself while I wait.

Good job you didn't take elastic's advice hmm

So glad you are back home and have contacted us, we were all very worried! Take care, you have had a shock and need to rest up. Good luck with the operation, hope you don't have to wait too long.

Well now you know you did exactly the right thing calling the ambulance and I hope you would do just the same in future.
So pleased you are back home and I wish you a very speedy recovery from the procedure.

Thank you for giving an update Starblaze. Must have been very scary for you.
Hope you have a peaceful Christmas, and are restored to rude health after surgery.
Thank goodness for paramedics.

I'm so so sorry everyone

I am a she!

I had a couple of glasses and a few too many chocolates at my work do, it was afternoon so not over the top. I had a lot of pain in my chest and my neck which was why I thought indigestion.

I haven't had a heart attack but it wasn't indigestion either. I had an SVT attack that lasted about 36 hours, this is all very new so bear with me. When the ambulance came my heart rate was 190. In hospital I had my heart stopped and started 3 times before they could finally get it under control. I had to be stable for 24 hours before I was allowed home as they were worried my heart would fail. There was talk of getting me straight into surgery but they have decided now I should wait till in the new year. I will be having a minor heart surgery to cauterise off a little piece of heart muscle. I had actually been having short episodes for a while but just thought it was panic attacks. Happened quite often at night where I woke with my heart racing and I put it down to bad dreams as it didn't last long.

Once again I am so sorry, I really wasn't very with it and feeling quite dizzy and sick. I thought I was wasting the ambulances time and resources.

I'm taking tablets in the meantime and I feel dreadful and very very tired. I have never been so terrified and thought I was dying a few times.

If I don't catch up soon, Merry Christmas everyone.

She could still be having tests.

Urmstongran Wed 18-Dec-19 19:57:27

Is she elderly?

GagaJo Wed 18-Dec-19 19:45:43

Does anyone have contact with her IRL?

Hithere Wed 18-Dec-19 19:43:19

Also, anyone waiting for an ambulance while alone, must make sure to have the front unlocked.

Just to pick up on this - if you're really ill and can't get to your front door do not delay calling an ambulance; they will be able to gain entry with the help of the police/fire service.

I know someone who delayed calling 999 when he was having a stroke because he was worried about the front door and was waiting for his daughter to return home.

WOODMOUSE49 Wed 18-Dec-19 19:38:26

Anyone sent a PM to starblaze?

GagaJo Wed 18-Dec-19 19:33:37

I hope so too. Beginning to look like she might not be though. sad

annep1 Wed 18-Dec-19 11:11:51

I hope she's ok.?

Persistentdonor Wed 18-Dec-19 09:22:23

When I had my heart attack, while sitting reading after a normal hectic day, I was told in A&E it was the slowing down which allowed the blood to stop pushing through.

As such, movement probably is preferable to resting. tchhmm

Also, anyone waiting for an ambulance while alone, must make sure to have the front unlocked.

Bit of a worry we haven't heard from the OP yet.

Love your style Mollymalone6. grin Very high class.

craftyone Wed 18-Dec-19 08:04:32

overeating can put a big strain on the heart, elastic. Hope the op is ok

CoolioC Wed 18-Dec-19 08:00:08

I have a feeling from another thread that “she” as some are referring could be a “he”!

There may be overindulgence at a Xmas party?

M0nica Tue 17-Dec-19 23:00:55

Starblaze Hope it is nothing serious, or a worst something that can be dealt with.

Hope to hear from you soon

Mollymalone6 Tue 17-Dec-19 22:41:11

Elastic, are you clutching your pearls and pouting your cats bum mouth?
