No, so much more comfortable for me than the heat wave.

Its comforting to know I am not the only one. It doesn`t help by not cycling, too wet, too muddy, too dark. I have taken some homeopathy which has helped and have been doing ankle exercises which have also helped

My sister is in very uncomfortable heat right now in australia, 41 degrees. I would rather put up with the rain here

44C here and I'm experiencing the same fate but cannot blame the damp or cold..

I read that it is to do with falling barometric pressure, which causes swelling in the joints

Definitely my knees are aching and hips give me nip when asleep but put it down to years of working in childcare! DH has this now as is normally fit as a lop! Welcome hubby to the real world ha ha.

Yes - knees, hips, wrists, neck. I recognise how bad it is in Australia but a little bit of warmth and some dry weather here would be appreciated.
Can't be global warming can it. Mr T says it isn't, so it can't be.

Yes. I can tell it's damp when I wake up stiff. On the other hand, damp weather makes my hair curly; frost weather sends it haywire.

Me too!my arthritis is always worse when it's damp.

henetha Sat 21-Dec-19 12:17:24

Me to. Pretty much everything is sore, aching, whinging,
protesting.... but it's inevitable at my age I suppose.

craftyone Sat 21-Dec-19 12:40:38

Mine became sore a week ago, especially my hip and lower leg and ankle and the opposite shoulder. I went out this morning after doing heels up and down on the stairs, was painful at first but was better with movement. Decided I need to keep my lower limbs warmer, warm indoor sheepskin boots on now, quite supporting around my ankles. I have no doubt that it is arthritis. One of the causations is being too cold, another is damp and a possible other is the nightshade family (tomatoes/potato/pepper/aubergine}. I cannot do anything about the damp and low barometric pressure but I can do something about the rest

Its a horrible ache, asn`t it?
