Pain after pessary fitting

I have had a prolapsed uterus/bladder for many years and have undergone two ops, neither have been succesful. Had an appointment at gynae today and was fitted with a vaginal pessary, to be refitted in 6 months. I cant feel the actual pessary, but now am having low dragging stomach pain similar to period pains. Is this normal, or anything to worry about?

If it is correctly fitted you should not feel it. It may have moved a little and need repositioning or a slightly different size. Sorry just noticed you said you can't feel it! See if symptoms settle over the next 24 hours . Have a restful day. If it doesn't fit the symptoms will persist or get worse. You could get a female GP to check it is correctly positioned. Hope symptoms settle. ( I am a retired GP)
